I don't know about you, but I am PUMPED for Peter Jackson's remake of King Kong. I think he did a great job with the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and from the looks of the trailers, I'd say this one will be quite entertaining. I heard awhile ago that he was going to do the remake, and thought in passing that it might be a good one to see. It had slipped my mind until I saw a commercial on TV, which prompted me to watch the trailer and teaser on the movie's website (http://www.kingkongmovie.com/).
Come on, it's got Jack Black in it! I'm sure Naomi Watts will do a fantastic job as the pretty little damsel in distress, and well, Adrian Brody won an Oscar and all that, so... yeah.
Personally, I'm a fan of that 40s-era aesthetic, too.
Remember that movie Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow with Jude Law and Gwyneth Paltrow? It was terrible! But the art and style in that movie were so cool!
Of course, I was pretty excited for the release of Tim Burton's Corpse Bride, which I still haven't gotten around to seeing...yeah...shame on me.
