bye facebook

So, I deleted my facebook account just now.

You know why? Because facebook sucks.

I joined over the Christmas break. And I used it a few times, sent messages, posted photos, filled out all the essential biographical information it asked for... but it all comes down to one thing: BORRRRRRRRINNNG!

I would rather get to know people face-to-face, even though I tend to be shy at times.
I'd also rather know face-to-face who wants to get to know me, rather than just being "browsed" by friends of friends of friends...

I see this as incentive to maintain better contact with the people I really do care to know about as the years fly by. I don't think our friendships would be much more profound on facebook anyway.

This post has devoted far too much attention to what is no longer my concern.
