La Societe Generale

So the French bank called me (or rather, my parents) last week.

And I called them back.

This is the gist of the conversation:

SG: "Hey, your account is dormant."
E: "Yeah I know."
SG: "We can't reach you at your old address."
E: "Yeah I know."
SG: "We've been trying to reach you at the number you gave us."
E: "Yeah I know."
SG: "Well do you want to close your account?"
E: "Yeah I do. I gave you that document last year saying a) I was moving, b) that I could be contacted at this number, c) that I wanted money transferred to my canadian account, and that d) you could close the account once that transaction had been carried out."
SG: "Yeah I know."
E: "You still have the letter I gave you with all that?"
SG: "Yeah I do."
E: "Sweet. "
SG: "Okay we need you to send us a fax telling us that you want to close your account."
E: "Like the one you have?"
SG: "Yeah."
E: "Okay."

So I'm going to type up a document for them. Or perhaps I should just change the date on the original letter from "30 mai 2006" to "20 fevrier 2007".

I'm not complaining. I thought that money was gone!
